so.... this means we had better pre-register if we want to have a place specified for the PCCA and our Pinto's

or....

all that gather at Dave's on Sunday with their cars will all drive in together, not pre-register and be placed "in another part of the parking lot with the other people that show up on Sunday."

The only problem I see here is that some will pre-register (I would guess Dave, Pintony, myself and others not mentioned) could end up parking seperate from the people who show up last minute and don't pre-register.

So the next question would be... is there a way to get a block of space for the PCCA and encourage all with plans to go to pre-register as well as having extra space to add the late entries so all the PCCA people can be together?

Is anyone going to/already asked this question of David Apgar - Event Coordinator? Only one person should be incharge of or be the contact person asking this question. Dave, Pintony, others... doesn't matter who but we need to be organized about this.

Hey guys. I plan in pre-reg. for the show. Myself and two other guys from out here will be caravaning to the show (3 pintos). Myself and one of the other guys plans on going to the open track on the 3 days prior to the show. Do any of you plan on doing a bit of road racing? Should I register now or do the same day? I am inclined to do it now. Keep me posted.

Ok, well, my two buddies and I are preregistering now. 3 pintos for the show, of which 2 are going to open track at Hallet. Any one else racing? Ill see you all there. My dad asked me to drop off some fruit to you Pintony!

The times I have shown at this show, guys just start lining up early Sunday morning, first come, first served. We could all meet at my house and drive over all at once. The show is about 5 miles west of my house on good roads.

Which to me sounds like no pre-registration required if we just all show up on Sunday. However according to the email Pintony received pre-registered cars will be parked in a different location than unregistered cars. This could be interesting... .

I don't plan on participating in any of the events except the car show on Sunday and from what I could see there is no pre-registration for just the car show. You do however get in free if you are pre-registered for other events. Otherwise looks like a $30 fee to participate in the car show without pre-registration.

My plans at this point are to leave home and head to Pintony's. The two of us will hopefully head to High_horse's and meet up with him and PollyAl and travel to Tulsa together if time and travel plans permit.

I haven't pre-registered and am waiting for the official word on what the plans are at this point.

   I just talked to High_Horse on the phone. We are not preregistered, but we do have firm plans to depart for Tulsa on Thursday morning the 14th. I guess we have the responsibility to be the official  :rolleye: Wichita delegation. I personally can only stay in Tulsa until Friday evening.
   I am looking forward to Driving Polly on her biggest road trip since August of '04 (when she visited her old home in Coffeyville).  By Hillbilly standards, she's roadworthy ...and she is sure to make other Pintos in our little procession from Wichita to Tulsa look pretty good. It is true that "shiny is good," but shiny is in her past ...and hopefully in her future.  In June, I'm likely to hear in the back of my head those familiar words of my wife, "Air conditioning would have only cost $400.00 more!"
   Cookieboy, I hope you can still make it to Wichita.  I've suggested to High_Horse that we travel the scenic route through Winfield and Caney, KS and Bartlesville OK.  Looking forward to meeting you.

Hey PollyAl,

I too hope I make it to Wichita for the Pinto convoy, looking forward to meeting you and High_Horse. Pintony wants to see the Dodge event on Friday so I'm sure we are going to be in Tulsa on Thursday. I hope we can leave for High_Horse's on Wednesday and then we'll be there with plenty of time to depart on Thursday morning.

Awe man! Well, I will be joining you all for the convoy in the morning. We did preregister though, I figure it is better to be cetain that after driving 1500 miles, we can actually show the cars! We will be arriving on the 13th.

Pintopower... sounds like we'll have a 7 Pinto convoy invading the Cobra's

"Is it possible for all the PCCA members that pre-register to have a spot
for us to park our Pinto's together? and what about the late comers who
don't make the pre-registration and attend last minute? can anything be done

I didn't get an answer so I'll resend the question today and post any response I get.

Here is the response I got...

The people that pre-register or register for the event and registered their
car for the show can park together in the Special Interest 1966  and Up
Class.  The people that are planning to go to the two tracks and register to
get in can register their cars for the show then also.

If the PCCA wants to park in the "Pool Area" on Sunday that would be fine
also.

I'm assuming the "Pool Area" is for people who show up the day of the show. I'm not sure so I sent another email to confirm that. Also I "think" it's $30.00 to participate if not pre-registered and so I asked for conformation on the cost too.

Yes, Those that show up on Sunday morning and pay $30 to show their car will
be in the "Pool Area"
