Thanks for sharing. As someone who owned my first Pinto long before the gas tank problem surfaced (as well as the fix for it), I followed the story closely back in the day. Nothing about it was ever convincing enough to turn me against Pintos in general. I have personally owned two Runabouts, one sedan, and one wagon. My family owned a Pinto wagon, a Bobcat wagon, and a standard Bobcat (I can't for the life of me remember if it was designated as a Runabout or not, since there were no Bobcat sedans. Regardless, it was a hatchback). They were great cars!
