Knotts Weekend Planning
« on: January 24, 2008, 10:26:54 PM »
Just a brief description of the weekend events.
Saturday: There will be a BBQ at Albertos house, all are invited.
The Ford car club has asked for volunteer's to show up at the show and stuff give away bags. This was the only condition to being given our own class. I know there are a few folks already going.

Sunday: 7:00 am meet at Carrows for breakfast and fun and games/give aways.
8:30 am caravan to the show.
              3:00 pm show is over.
3:15 pm caravan to a dinner house for some grub.

More details will be announced as we get closer to the show. Stay tuned.

Ok , I have booked Carrows restaurant for 7:00 am on the 20th. I guess they have a new policy that they do not take reservations on Sundays now. However after I told the nice lady that about 25 people will be arriving all at the same time demanding food she reconsidered.  ;D  Last year there were a few that arrived later and still got fed but I would encourage all of us to try and get to the restaurant early. I know the galaxy club will try and beat us to the punch and scam our seats so we need to get there on time this year.

Hi ,

Just wanted to say I'm been to Del-Mar and I'm the only Pinto In San Diego, It's not all bad because so many people love to see the little car that 99% of them owned or know someone that had a pinto. I get tons of thumbs up looks. Del-Mar is also toma  rrow and I alone will represent our fine little cars. See everyone at Knotts.  Dan.

 :fastcar:
Hi, I know theirs a few san Diego pintos, I was being a wise guy. The car at Qualcomm is Ricks car, It has a ford big block with turbo 400 and is super fast. He also is part owner of Barona Raceway. I went to Barona in Nov. and tested out my ride. It went 7.60 just to get my feel of it.
The next time it should do better. I also want to try Qualcomm since its locals and are mostly street machines. My pinto is street legal. I'll be at cruising Grand often this summer. See you at Knotts?. Dan.

I am planning on dinner after the show on Sunday. I will see if I can find a place that we can reserve that also has parking for all our cars. I will contact Brad later to make plans. Sorry I have been busy and out of touch but work is crazy (which is great) plus we are trying to get my sisters car ready and my Red 79 pinto. Keep you all posted.
