Thanks guys...just got back into a Pinto or Bobcat Sport after 18 years of Fox's. Have been wanting to do turbo swap for a long time now. I currently have several differant Turbo engine option for this car. Its a 1980 Bobcat Sport...2.3 auto, A/C, PS, PB, seems to be loaded, except sunroof. Wanting to do someting "stock appearing" as I would like to keep the auto, A/c, etc...
Option #1
Try and do the set up starting this thread...TC long block, ported E6, t3/4 turbo and Ranger roller cam, replacing intake/efi stuff with carb.
#2 Stock draw thru from 80's Fox mustang, this engine is fresh rebuilt with TC pistons, Ranger cam and Crower sportsman rods, but think I will have to swap out auto for 4-speed due to kick down linkage, keeping car as if "factory" turbo install
#3 Step up and just go all out with EFI swap...
all the above will be running TC accessories/serp belt set up th help clean up engine compartment, brake and suspension up-grades, stock exterior...wit h factory Fox scope and front/rear spoilers, Pace car Recaros redone in red, again trying to keep it "factory" appearing...
How does this sound? Ideas??
Thanks again
