OK- Here are my plans on driving up for the Stampede.
Leaving the 29th from Madison Alabama traveling to Memphis TN and then to Cape Girardeau or St. Louis for the first stop. HWY 55
on the 30th.. to Loves Park Illinois....
Then the start of the Stampede the 31st with all the gang.

Would LOVE to meet up with folks on the drive up....
It's going to be fun!!

Karen, Meesha and I will be there on the 31st for sure. Not sure if we will get to stay past that because of work but it will be fun to meet up with you guys again

If anyone wants to come in a day early (July 30th) and drive up to Milwaukee/West Allis WI (about an hour or so north of Loves Park) the Stampede will be on the Racing Round Up show again. Karen and I will buy the pizza's and soda's. The show is from 6pm-7:30pm) so you would have plenty of time to get back to your hotel in IL

Scott, Thanks for the heads up. Not sure when we are headed out. Just know that I have to make a stop somewhere on RT 66. Just don't know where yet.

OK guys... I have a project at work that will be delaying my stampede departure 1 day... (I'm hoping this is the ONLY delay)..

I'm leaving now the 30th from Alabama to arrive in Loves Park late into the afternoon/evening on the 31st... Won't miss any of the Stampede but might miss some folks drive up together.

I have my electric fan, electric choke and water, volts and oil pressure gauges installed and working for the stampede. My son and I will be making the ride while the wife and daughter stay behind and take care of the animals.

Taking i40 to i24 to i57 to i74 to US51...

Staying overnight somewhere between Cape Girardeau and Springfield- will wing it.

Looking forward to the ride... it's almost here!

I have known Terry Schriber (sp) for a long time but this was the first time we met in person and I got to see his garage. Tercin is his forum name, he has a fox body mustang, vw bug and a recently acquired 40s truck. You remember the motor max toys that were created? - they used his car- yup the one behind him there. He also had a pinto shifter I have never seen before... Really good people. Terry is.

Keep sending the updates Scott! Love that Gold pinto with the cowl induction hood! Your car looks like my runabout used to on road trips! Makes me wish mine was a hatch! We will see you all Saturday. Brent
