My guess would be in the $2,500 range plus or minus $500, - with high fuel prices maybe $3,000. Make sure to use a reputable company. I looked into this in 2007 when I needed to get my Pinto from San Francisco to the general Los Angeles area. I read a LOT of horror stories. The most concerning is that cars often get picked up, taken to a depot and unless there is a driver "going your way" the car can sit a long time. Some to the point no one would take the car and then they start to accumulate storage fees. It is often a lot of independent transport companies that "network" to shuffle the car to its destination and some are only after your money. So, be careful and check them out. Don't go by the lowest price.
They don't like cars that don't run and charge more. If say the battery goes dead because someone didn't close the door all they way then they add about $200 for a non-starting car. Note that the car may go on/off multiple transports getting to your destination. Most stipulate you can't transport "parts" in the car. So, if one is buying a disassembled car they are going to have a hard time finding a transport. On top of that there is the potential transport damage, theft or vandalize. When I factored all that I opted to just go and get the car. It helped that the seller worked for Southwest and gave me a free ticket to fly there. Still at 2007 prices it was $425 for the truck/trailer rental and fuel for 400 miles of which the truck got 13 MPG.
Just the other day I was contemplating a car in south/central Washington. It was a non-running car and not a good candidate for a transport. Doing the math it would have been in the $2,500 range to get it to the Los Angeles area and take 3-4 days of travel (fly/drive) on my part.
I hope you find a decent, reasonably priced transport just be wise and choose well.
