OK I think I'm fixin to go on a rant here, so you now have the option of going back.......... ...

Still with me? Ok, I'll start by quoting DIRECTLY the whole piece.

Now this is why Ebay rules. Check out this sweet thing: an original 1974 Ford Pinto with a paltry 3970 miles on the odometer. Kermit green exterior with frog-skin interior-okay. maybe it's vinyl. It comes with all the bells, and whistles that make concours judges drool: passenger compartment carpeting, a 2.0-liter engine, a three-speed auto, an AM radio, Cruise-O-Matic.You'll be sure to take home best-in-show trophies at any Pinto club event. Why would someone keep a Pinto in his or her garage for 30 years? Perhaps it was the desire to keep a classic pristine, or maybe the worry of being rear-ended. Auctioned twice, the Pinto failed both times to meet the reserve. The second time around bidding reached 4610. If it had sold for  that amount the Pinto would have appreciated by $51.84 a year.

The piece is accompanied by the auction pics of the actual Ebay car. I can confirm the auction, as I watched it twice out of curiosity. While I agree the seller wanted an exhorbinant price for the car & at 3k miles it likely will start spewing fluids as soon as it warms up from dry rot.

But to BASH the Pinto Car Club!! I bet they don't even KNOW we exist, much less that we don't particularly care to be bashed!! Yes the Pinto has a bad rep, yes it's the butt of a LOT of jokes, but are we going to allow a national publication to bash us?

I say we all go to the Ann Arbor headquarters put the back of our cars facing the building & threaten to back into it at full speed!! That'd fix 'em wouldn't it?
How to tell when a redneck's time is up: He combines these two sentences... Hey man, hold my beer. Hey y'all watch this!
