WV allows eight letters! Lol that's a pretty good one. I thought of XPLOSIVE when I get mine. So far it hasn't been taken in WV and once I get enough extra cash to get a vantiy I'll probably go the XPLOSIVE route.

A lot of states only have 6. Or at least used to. Some let you have 7.
I always come up with ones that use more letters than I am allowed.

Here is a 7 letter one. "BOOMBOX" or how about "CARBOOM"?

Just thought of a 6 letter one. "BOOMER". This would also work since I was on a "boomer" submarine when I was in the Navy. Boomer there meaning it carried 16 nuclear missiles.

I don't think I got enough sleep last night.

I been thinking about what kinda plates i want because i can get historic/custom vanity plates for 45 bucks and i never have to renew them after i buy um.

How about  CRSHNBRN? ORGANDNR?  Lots of possiblities

With six, I'll stay with CDHDV8.

In Ontario Canada when I first got my vanity plate in 81 we could only get 6 letters . That cost me then $100. now we can get 8 letters for $200. Mine says PINTOK . I wanted it to say PINTOKE I can do it now but I'm not paying double. If Cheech & Chong had a Pinto that would be there plate.

i had/ have some where/ a license plate frame that say's  "hit me easy im full of gas" also i like pinto or horsey
i want mine to be " steel horse "abbreviated down stl hrs
due to a country song
